Strategic Lead for SEND and Inclusion

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled professional to join our team as the Head of SEND and Inclusion. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our SEND services and ensuring that we continue to provide high-quality support to children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as strategic lead for SEND services, ensuring that statutory responsibilities are discharged appropriately and monitored effectively.
- Oversee the implementation of our Local Area SEND Strategy and Improvement Plan, ensuring the best possible outcomes for children and young people.
- Lead and manage specialist teams within SEND, establishing and maintaining strong partnerships with key partners, including Trafford Parent/Carer Forum and schools.
- Develop and implement effective strategies to improve SEND services, including experience of planning and budget/financial management.
- Work alongside other managers within the service to ensure consistency of practice across the borough and promote the development of a supportive collaborative culture.
Requirements:
- Proven experience of providing direction and clear vision to those you work with, ensuring service excellence across the SEND sector.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven track record of delivering SEND improvements.
- Minimum of 3 years' SEND leadership and management experience, with a minimum of a degree qualification.
- Ability to work flexibly and be resilient, with a strong focus on delivering multiple and competing short and long-term objectives.
