About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Taxation Manager to join our team at Starr Insurance Companies. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of our tax returns and financial statements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of tax returns for our UK and European operations;
  • Liaise with external tax advisors to ensure compliance with tax regulations;
  • Design, document, and test taxation internal controls to support annual SAO submission and other regulatory requirements;
  • Assist in the consolidation, improvement, automation, and standardization of existing tax processes from across the UK and European operations;
Key Skills and Qualifications
  • Advanced analysis and problem-solving skills;
  • Advanced numeracy and organizational skills;
  • Pragmatic and balanced judgment and decision-making skills;
  • Professional business writing and presentation skills;
  • Able to work effectively in a matrix reporting environment;
  • Ability to liaise with external tax advisors;
  • Able to identify process improvements;
  • Risk Management;
  • Microsoft Office: advanced Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook;
  • Experience with accounting software;
  • Experience using Data Warehouse tools;
  • ACA or CTA or similar qualification.
