Job Title: Haematology Specialty Doctor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Haematology Specialty Doctor to join our team at Barnet and Chase Farm Hospitals. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our clinical services.

About the Role

This is a fixed-term 12-month position, with the possibility of extension, dependent on departmental needs. The post will cover Barnet and Chase Farm Hospitals and associated community services. The successful applicant will join a team of four Consultants in Microbiology/Infection and one Clinical Fellow in Microbiology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in the routine clinical work of the Microbiology/Infection and Infection Control departments.
  • Contribute to the development of clinical services and policies.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.
  • Stay up-to-date with contemporary practice in medical Microbiology and Virology.
Requirements
  • Full registration (and with a licence to practise) with the General Medical Council (GMC).
  • At least four years of full-time postgraduate training, at least two of which will be in a specialty training programme in Microbiology.
  • Post-graduate qualifications in Microbiology and experience working in Microbiology, ideally within the NHS.
