Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to work as a Healthcare Support Worker in our clinical team. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality patient care, support our nursing staff, and contribute to the smooth running of our clinical services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional patient care, ensuring the dignity and well-being of our patients at all times.
  • Assist nursing staff with clinical procedures, including vital sign monitoring, fluid balance management, and catheter care.
  • Support patients with their personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing needs, ensuring their privacy and dignity are respected.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of a clean and safe environment, reporting any concerns or issues to the relevant staff.
  • Assist with fluid balance monitoring, including measuring and recording body waste and fluid balance accurately.
  • Handle patient personal possessions, ensuring money and valuables are kept securely.
  • Provide one-to-one support to patients as required.
  • Perform and record patient vital signs, reporting findings to Registered Nurses or Medical staff.
Person Specification
  • Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Vocational healthcare qualification at level 3 or equivalent experience.
  • Experience of working in an acute care environment, undertaking a range of clinical commitments.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with a wide range of people.
  • Basic IT skills.
