We are seeking to appoint a Family Support Coordinator to implement child and family-oriented spiritual initiatives within our innovative community development project. This role will emphasize local engagement, aligning with our mission of fostering a living faith in Jesus among children and their families. You will manage the current children and family discipleship initiatives and spearhead the creation and execution of a new program.

Key Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate will supervise and enhance existing children and family ministry, incorporating Christian teachings, including leading worship tailored for family and children settings, such as Messy Church and holiday clubs. You will cultivate a nurturing and inclusive atmosphere while participating in the planning and evaluation of programs and activities. Additionally, you will maintain strong connections with the community and relevant external organizations to explore innovative approaches to outreach.

The successful candidate(s) will be able to demonstrate:

A strong commitment to Christianity and a genuine practice of faith, with the ability to engage the community through ministry Proven experience in organizing community events for diverse participant groups Effective prioritization, organization, and management of workload to achieve objectives Excellent communication skills and the ability to foster productive working relationships Proficiency in English, both spoken and written, along with numeracy skills at GCSE level or equivalent.

This position has an occupational requirement that the successful candidate must be a dedicated and practicing Christian, supportive of the doctrines and objectives of The Salvation Army.
