Project Manager - Bilfinger UK

Bilfinger UK is a leading engineering and maintenance provider, supporting customers across various industries. We enhance the efficiency of assets, ensuring a high level of availability and reducing maintenance costs.

We have extensive experience in offshore and onshore facilities, specialising in asset management services throughout all life cycle phases. Our commitment is delivered by an experienced and highly competent workforce of over 4,500 employees operating from 14 offices in strategic industrial hubs.

The Role

As a key member of the Bilfinger UK Engineering Team, you will have the opportunity to work on stimulating and groundbreaking EPC and construction projects in the UK. Professional development of our team is key to our success, and you will be given a Personal Development Plan, including training and further education along with more responsibility.

You will:

  • Plan, organise, manage and close the project
  • Accountable for project budget, time and safety
  • Identify the overall project execution strategy; develop and own project execution plan
  • Leading development of programme
  • Responsible for obtaining lead resources
  • Avoiding and resolving conflict within the team and with third parties
  • Overall coordination of project team
  • Leading commercial change management
  • Client focal contact
  • Internal BUK and external monitoring, reporting and forecasting
  • Holding the rest of the project team to account for their delivery, motivation and management of team

Qualifications & Experience:

We are looking for a highly experienced Project Manager with a strong background in multi-discipline projects, preferably in the EPCM / EPC sector. You should have a good understanding of construction activities across all disciplines and how these integrate to successful project delivery.

You will have experience with various phases of engineering and construction projects, including detailed design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and have a sound practical knowledge of and experience with various standard forms of contract, in particular NEC.

You will be result-oriented, with a 'one time right' mentality, and capable of identifying growth within the company with support to sales, business management, company procedures and strategies.

We prefer candidates with a BSc / BEng / MSc or Equivalent in a relevant Engineering discipline, Chartered or Incorporated Engineer, Qualification from APM (Association for Project Management), and experience as an Project Manager in the highly regulated process Industries.
