Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer

At Leonardo, we are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in the Helicopters Division. As a key player in the Aerospace, Defence, and Security industry, we offer a unique opportunity for professionals to grow and develop their careers.

Job Summary:

The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for planning and executing the manufacturing process, ensuring the highest quality standards are met. This role will involve constructing plans of manufacture, assembly sequences, and processes to achieve the required product quality, budget hours, and delivery schedule.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement manufacturing plans, including Bills of Material, work instructions, and technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to production teams.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to resolve manufacturing issues.
  • Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, including process maps and technical specifications.
Requirements:
  • Education: HNC or equivalent in an Engineering discipline, or a time-served apprenticeship.
  • Experience: Post-training experience in an Aerospace or high-integrity mechanical manufacturing environment.
  • Skills: Working knowledge of CATIA (V5) & ENOVIA, SAP (ECC6), and Microsoft Office.
  • Personal Qualities: Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
