Job Summary:
Penguin Recruitment Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Town Planner to join their multidisciplinary team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing planning commissions from start to finish, including liaison with clients, collaboration with architecture and design teams, management of internal and external sub-consultants, preparation of Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) chapters for major highway schemes, and providing support and mentorship to graduate members of the team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead planning commissions from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Manage and coordinate the work of internal and external sub-consultants, ensuring seamless integration and delivery of projects.
- Prepare and submit EIA chapters for major highway schemes, adhering to regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to junior team members, promoting their professional development and growth.
Requirements:
- Proven experience working within a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Demonstrable experience as a Planner + level professional.
- Excellent working knowledge of all stages of planning and development, including policy, strategy, and project delivery.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and demonstrate a strong desire for growth and professional development.
- Chartered Planner status or working towards the APC.
- Relevant RTPI-accredited degree in a relevant planning discipline.
