Job Summary

The position of Cleaner at Jordanhill School is a key role that requires a person of high standards, service, and efficiency. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the school estate and buildings, as well as vehicles, through daily cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, polishing, dusting, mopping, and using commercial cleaning equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform daily cleaning tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment
  • Operate commercial cleaning equipment and use cleaning supplies effectively
  • Work collaboratively with the Facilities team to achieve common goals
  • Report to the Facilities Manager and contribute to the overall maintenance of the school estate
Requirements

We are seeking a hard-working and enthusiastic individual who is a strong team player and has a passion for their work. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, and will have a commitment to providing excellent service and maintaining high standards.

The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. They will also be able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

Working Hours

The successful candidate will be required to work a variety of shifts, including 20 hour posts from 4pm-8pm Monday to Friday, and a 10 hour post from 4pm-6pm (or 5pm-7pm negotiable) Monday to Friday.
