About the Role

As a Teaching Assistant for Early Years Foundation Stage, you will play a vital role in supporting children's development during a critical stage of their lives. Your primary responsibility will be to assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and age-appropriate learning activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the class teacher in delivering learning activities that promote social, communication, and motor skills.
  • Encourage children's personal, social, and emotional development through creative play.
  • Assist with preparing the learning environment, including setting up activities and resources.
  • Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities, ensuring their safety and wellbeing.

Requirements
  • Passionate about working with children in the Early Years Foundation Stage.

  • Experienced in an early years setting, with a good understanding of the EYFS curriculum (preferred but not essential).
  • A team player, who can work closely with teachers, parents, and other staff to create a positive learning environment.
  • Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, with an up-to-date DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
