Role Overview

As a Placement Civil Construction Engineer, you will engage in daily site activities and report to senior engineers. You will collaborate with industry experts to deepen your understanding of your project and work alongside a team that values growth and development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake surveys and setting-out on site to ensure quality control and compliance procedures are adhered to.
  • Prepare drawings and calculations to ensure that deadlines are being met and engineering specifications are met.
  • Monitor construction progress to ensure that all work is completed according to specifications.
  • Liaise with clients and carry out site investigations to ensure that all work is completed according to specifications.
  • Coordinate with engineers, subcontractors, and other parties involved in the construction project to ensure that all work is completed according to specifications.
  • Liaise with quantity surveyors about the ordering and pricing of materials.
  • Ensure that health and safety and sustainability policies and legislation are adhered to.

Requirements

  • Studying a Civil or Construction/Project Management Degree.
  • Hold a full UK driving license.
  • Passionate about starting a career in the civils industry.
  • High attention to detail coupled with meticulous planning and organisational skills.
  • Demonstrate a strong interest in all aspects of engineering and looking for a dynamic workplace that provides an outstanding career opportunity.
  • Excellent communication skills, be able to work flexibly in a team and be a hard worker.

Accommodation and Travel

We cover all accommodation costs, provide a daily allowance, and cover travel costs (as set out in our policy). Visa sponsorship is not available in connection with this vacancy.
