We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team at Aspris. As a Specialist ASD School, we provide education and care to young people with autism and severe learning disabilities.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' experience working with young people with autism and challenging behaviour. They will be a friendly, approachable individual with excellent communication skills and the ability to convey sensitive information to our young people, their families, and other professionals.
Key Responsibilities- Perform assessments to establish the needs of our young people
- Monitor progress and carry out observations
- Provide sensory recommendations and conduct direct therapeutic work to train our staff
- Work as part of our multi-disciplinary team to improve the lives of our young people
- Minimum of 5 years' experience working with young people with autism and challenging behaviour
- Excellent communication skills and ability to convey sensitive information
- Ability to work as part of a team and contribute to the development of our young people
- Flexibility to work across two specialist ASD schools and offer support to our residential provisions
