About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team at Aspris. As a Specialist ASD School, we provide education and care to young people with autism and severe learning disabilities.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' experience working with young people with autism and challenging behaviour. They will be a friendly, approachable individual with excellent communication skills and the ability to convey sensitive information to our young people, their families, and other professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform assessments to establish the needs of our young people
  • Monitor progress and carry out observations
  • Provide sensory recommendations and conduct direct therapeutic work to train our staff
  • Work as part of our multi-disciplinary team to improve the lives of our young people
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience working with young people with autism and challenging behaviour
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to convey sensitive information
  • Ability to work as part of a team and contribute to the development of our young people
  • Flexibility to work across two specialist ASD schools and offer support to our residential provisions
