Family Law Solicitor

Salary Range: £40,000 - £45,441

Sellick Partnership is pleased to announce an opening for a Family Law Solicitor to join a local authority in Yorkshire on a permanent basis. This role presents a remarkable opportunity for individuals with a background in litigation or advocacy who are eager to transition into the field of family law.

The successful candidate will become part of a highly skilled team, engaging in a variety of responsibilities, including:

  • Managing a caseload of care-related cases and pre-proceedings
  • Providing legal counsel on matters of child protection, care proceedings, special guardianship, private law proceedings, fostering regulations, and adoption legislation
  • Participating in legal planning, Public Law Outline (PLO), and Gateway meetings
  • Preparing for court hearings and conducting advocacy within the Family Court
  • Drafting essential threshold documents
