About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Infrastructure Architect to join our technology team at Kurt Geiger. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure to ensure the security and reliability of our customer-facing web applications and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement secure and scalable cloud infrastructure using AWS services such as VPC, IAM, ELB, ECS, EC2, and RDS.
  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using CloudFormation or Terraform.
  • Implement configuration management using Chef, Ansible, or Puppet.
  • Collaborate with the technology team to ensure seamless integration with existing systems and services.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to the team on cloud-related matters.
  • Participate in on-call rotations to ensure 24/7 support for our services.
Requirements
  • Strong knowledge of AWS services and cloud infrastructure.
  • Excellent understanding of Linux and networking concepts.
  • Basic understanding of Windows and common services (IIS, Active Directory, etc).
  • Good understanding of system administration and infrastructure as code.
  • Experience with configuration management tools such as Chef, Ansible, or Puppet.
  • Strong understanding of foundational AWS services (VPC, IAM, ELB, ECS, EC2, RDS).
  • Ability to code in at least one scripting language (bash, Python, Ruby, Go).
  • Experience building containers (Docker).
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Desirable Requirements
  • AWS certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect Associate, AWS Developer Associate, or AWS SysOps Associate.
