Role Responsibilities

  • Enhance sales performance by generating leads and securing new business through effective verbal and written communication strategies.
  • Assess and underwrite each risk prior to presenting to insurers and authorized personnel.
  • Engage in negotiations with insurers and manage the processing of new policy terms and quotes.
  • Develop strategies aimed at growth and the enhancement of business processes.
  • Maintain comprehensive client communications and records, including the preparation of quotations.
  • Contribute to the evolution of products and services offered by the company, including cross-selling and upselling initiatives.
  • Provide excellent customer service by promptly addressing inquiries and concerns from clients, insurers, and brokers.
  • Stay informed about current processes and services offered by the company and be aware of any changes.
  • Participate in team meetings and share best practices with the broader team.

Candidate Profile

  • Proven experience in B2B sales, preferably with exposure to a variety of products or services.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets consistently.
  • Willingness to pursue or currently working towards CII qualifications is preferred.
  • Experience in the insurance sector is advantageous but not mandatory; a strong desire to learn and grow within the industry is essential.
  • Strong listening skills and the emotional resilience to thrive under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills, coupled with a natural talent for sales.
  • Exceptional negotiation abilities.
  • Able to collaborate effectively with team members.
  • Adaptability to manage ongoing changes within the insurance landscape.
  • Capable of working independently and managing personal workload efficiently.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook; articulate and presentable with effective verbal and written communication skills.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Competitive salary range of £25k-£30k per annum (dependent on experience) plus commission.
  • Initial office-based position to facilitate ongoing training and development, with potential for flexible work arrangements thereafter.
  • Full-time hours from Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.
  • Generous leave policy offering 28 days per year, increasing to 33 days after two years of service.
  • Pension scheme with a 3% employer contribution after the qualifying period.
