Key Responsibilities

  • Understanding the commercial objectives and the ambition of the Retail Business to contribute to desired outcomes;
  • Building value cases that include market analysis, costs, and business/user benefit of product changes to ensure value is maximized for the delivered products;
  • Actively participating in solution design thinking to help develop products;
  • Working with the Product Manager to contribute to vision, roadmap, and content presentations;
  • Building and maintaining networks with a diverse group of leaders and colleagues to influence and deliver the product roadmap, collaborating with them to prioritize business, product, and technical priorities to set the product direction;
  • Managing internal stakeholders and forging key relationships with compliance, legal, data protection, financial crime, and fraud;
  • Developing relationships with external stakeholders to ensure the end-to-end customer journey is optimized, including commercial partners and software partners;
  • Operating decisively within a complex environment to deliver high-quality outputs and challenge the status quo;
  • Prior experience as a Digital Product Owner (in any industry) would be valuable, although not essential for candidates who can demonstrate excellent FS industry experience and desire to learn the PO role;
  • Knowledge of Agile methods and tools, e.g., Kanban, Scrum, Jira, and Confluence;
  • Ability to apply lean practices while delivering value through iterative product development;
  • Ability to build a strong partnership with stakeholders and demonstrate the commercial value of technology solutions;
  • Strong problem-solving skills, using sound judgment to assess risks, and to lay out your argument in a well-structured, data-informed, narrative.
