We are seeking an experienced Theatre Scrub Practitioner to join our dynamic team at One Hatfield Hospital. As a key member of our theatre team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety.
Main Responsibilities- Support the theatre team in the care of patients prior to and during surgery.
- Provide comprehensive handovers at change of shift to colleagues.
- Undertake all safety checks to a high standard, documenting as per procedure.
- Assess patient care requirements, implementing and evaluating outcomes.
- Ensure the highest standards of infection prevention and control.
- Registered Nurse with NMC or Registered Operating Department Practitioner with HCPC.
- Surgical First Assistant Certificate (Accredited University Course).
- A minimum of 2 years clinical experience as Surgical First Assistant / Scrub Practitioner.
- Evidence of continuous professional development and its application.
- Demonstrable knowledge and skills in a variety of specialties.
- Patient-focused, able to deliver high levels of customer service.
- Sound written, numerical, and verbal communication skills.
- Sound computer skills using MS Office Suite and Compucare (training provided).
