Due to a robust project pipeline in the region and exciting new client opportunities, we are seeking a Senior Wastewater Network Engineer to enhance our Newcastle office.
You will collaborate within a multidisciplinary team comprising 110 professionals from Stantec, distributed across 13 UK offices and a team in Pune, working alongside our clients and consultant/contractor partners to deliver projects throughout the UK and Ireland.
This position offers a fantastic opportunity to be part of an innovative team of engineers, contributing to industry-leading projects within a long-term framework.
Candidate Profile
To qualify for this role, candidates must possess a degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering, Geography, or a related field, and hold membership in a relevant professional institution such as ICE or CIWEM. Previous experience in leading projects within an urban drainage context is essential. Successful applicants will exhibit technical expertise across a broad spectrum of urban drainage modelling tasks.
Your responsibilities will include providing guidance, training, and fostering staff development and well-being within the discipline.
The role encompasses planning, programming, and coordinating urban drainage projects while ensuring excellence in delivery, adherence to technical governance, and implementation of best practices.
Exceptional communication skills are crucial, as the successful candidate will be responsible for report writing, developing and delivering presentations (both internal and external), and establishing industry contacts.
Experience in managing and developing personnel, along with the ability to integrate seamlessly into a team and provide technical leadership in an urban drainage environment, is required, with a strong focus on client service.
