Position Overview
Turning Point is a prominent organization committed to assisting individuals in overcoming challenges related to addiction and reclaiming their lives. We are in search of a qualified Chartered Clinical, Counselling, or Forensic Psychologist to lead and implement psycho-social strategies within our newly formed Mental Health Treatment and Recovery (MHTR) team. This team is dedicated to providing alternative psycho-social support to individuals involved in the criminal justice system, focusing on tailored treatment plans and consistent oversight to ensure effective outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver clinical direction and mentorship to a team of psychologists
- Ensure governance and quality assurance of the MHTR service
- Provide expertise on evidence-based therapeutic interventions
- Enhance psychological formulation capabilities among team members
- Manage a diverse caseload of service users
Qualifications:
Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a Clinical, Counselling, or Forensic Psychologist, a doctorate in a relevant field, and experience in providing psychological services are essential. Strong leadership and supervisory skills are required, ideally with a background in substance misuse.
