Baltic Apprenticeships is a prominent provider of training solutions, dedicated to enhancing the educational journey for both students and educators. As an IT Support Apprentice, you will collaborate with their skilled team and contribute to their goal of empowering educational institutions.

In this position, you will work towards achieving your IT Support Level 3 qualification, facilitated by our expert training team.

Key Responsibilities:

As an IT Support Apprentice, your duties will encompass a variety of tasks, including:

  • Responding to helpdesk inquiries remotely and delivering prompt technical assistance.
  • Handling help desk calls, documenting and tracking issues, and ensuring all problems are accurately recorded and resolved.
  • Conducting hardware and software repairs in a well-equipped workshop.
  • Assisting with the installation of hardware and software, ensuring smooth integration and functionality.
  • Maintaining network documentation and reporting to ensure precise records.
  • Helping to source IT equipment and software to support ongoing initiatives.
  • Participating in on-site visits to educational institutions, providing technical support and troubleshooting as necessary.

Comprehensive training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and the Baltic team.

Compensation and Benefits:
  • Annual salary of £12,500 throughout the apprenticeship.
  • Work schedule of 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, from 9 am to 5 pm.
  • Mileage allowance of 45p per mile for travel beyond your standard commute.
  • Entitlement to 23 days of holiday for rest and relaxation.
  • Access to pension contributions, private healthcare, employee assistance programs, and life assurance.
  • A comprehensive training and career progression plan is available as part of your employment with Baltic Apprenticeships.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:

To excel in this role, we seek candidates who possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Experience in hardware repair and troubleshooting is advantageous.
  • Strong communication abilities.
  • Capability to work collaboratively within a team and demonstrate initiative.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office applications.
  • While not mandatory, prior exposure to hardware and software support is beneficial.
  • Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and empathetically with end-users.
