About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Commercial Trainee to join our team at Vistry Group PLC. As a Commercial Trainee, you will play a key role in supporting our procurement team in the preparation of enquiry documents, placing of orders, and chasing tender returns.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of enquiry documents and placing of orders for materials and sub-contracts.
- Chase tender returns and non-returned sub-contracts to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Chase supply chain for essential documents such as insurance and account information.
- Raise material and sub-contract orders onto the COINS system.
- Track and resolve invoice queries in collaboration with the buyers.
Requirements
- Minimum 6 GCSEs, grade C or above, including Maths and English.
- Computer literate with good knowledge of Word and Excel.
- Strong arithmetic skills and ability to demonstrate negotiation skills.
- Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to learn quickly and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to work extra hours to meet deadlines as required.
Desirable Qualifications
- Experience in a commercial organization or construction business.
- Hold a UK driving license to attend sites if required.
