We are a distinguished, multi-disciplinary environmental consultancy located in the lively city of Manchester. Our team is looking for motivated Senior Ecological Consultants to enhance our diverse workforce.


Our organization is involved in a variety of projects that include significant infrastructure, public spaces, educational facilities, healthcare, green initiatives, renewable energy, rural land stewardship, wildlife preservation, and private sector development across Manchester and the surrounding regions.

We take pride in our dedication to promoting environmental sustainability in both public and private sectors.


Typical assessments conducted include surveys for bats, dormice, amphibians, reptiles, invertebrates, and various botanical evaluations throughout Manchester and nearby areas.

Our work encompasses Preliminary Ecological Appraisals, Ecological Impact Assessments, biodiversity evaluations, and much more.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

We seek candidates who possess the following qualifications and experience:

  • A degree in a relevant environmental discipline
  • Membership in a recognized professional organization (CIEEM)
  • Chartered status is preferred but not mandatory
  • Relevant licenses, particularly GCN and/or bat licenses (preferred)
  • Experience with ECI Contracts on infrastructure projects (beneficial)
  • Proficiency in standardized habitat survey techniques (Phase 1, NVC, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of UK-protected and invasive species
  • Familiarity with essential environmental/ecological regulations
  • Expertise in faunal survey techniques
  • Experience with Biodiversity Action Planning
  • Knowledge of habitat creation strategies
  • Ability to formulate Ecological Management Plans
  • Solid understanding of habitat management principles and practices
