HGV Class Two Vehicle Operator

Silver Arrow Perm is seeking a dedicated HGV Class Two Vehicle Operator to enhance our team. This role offers a temporary engagement with the potential for permanent placement following a successful introductory period.

Work Schedule:

  • Weekdays from Monday to Friday
  • Occasional overnight stays (2-3 times weekly)

Compensation Details:

  • Weekday rate: £13.50 per hour PAYE, inclusive of holiday pay
  • Night stay allowance: £25
  • Guaranteed minimum of 8 hours remuneration per shift

Key Duties:

  • Operating an HGV Class Two vehicle equipped with a box trailer
  • Delivering a variety of items, from outdoor furniture to smaller packages
  • Managing between 1 to 8 deliveries per shift, with a significant number of stops in urban areas
  • Engaging in heavy lifting tasks, with assistance available if needed
  • Typical shift duration ranges from 8 to 10 hours

Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of experience driving HGV Class Two vehicles
  • Possession of a valid HGV Class Two License
  • Current CPC and Digi qualifications
  • No more than 6 penalty points on driving license
