About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Audit and Accounts Senior to join our team at ProTalent Limited. As a key member of our accounting practice, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality audit and accounts services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver audit files in accordance with UK GAAP and ensure timely completion of assignments
  • Plan and deliver audit assignments, including preparation of limited company accounts for review by managers/directors
  • Supervise junior staff during audits and review their work to ensure high standards are maintained
  • Prepare partnership and sole trade accounts, as well as manage client communication effectively
  • Monitor assignment budgets proactively and prepare corporation tax computations for review
  • Prepare personal and partnership tax returns, management accounts, and VAT returns
  • Highlight any deficiencies in client records or areas for concern to managers/directors and recommend actions for improvement
  • Mentor junior accounts and audit trainees to ensure their development and growth
Requirements
  • Strong academic background and experience working within an accounting practice environment
  • Unquestionable integrity, excellent verbal and written communication, and strong logical and analytical skills
  • Flexibility and organization in managing your own time to deadlines
  • Ability to work in a highly professional team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues
  • Professional and friendly communication, with a dedication to technical competence and ongoing professional development
