We are seeking an experienced PFI Director to join our team at Royal Free London Property Services Ltd. As a key member of our estates and facilities management team, you will be responsible for the management of PFI contracts and the delivery of safe, effective, and timely care and working priorities of our hospitals.
Key Responsibilities- Manage PFI contracts and ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to ensure the assets are in fit for purpose condition, perform as intended, and fully support delivery of safe, effective, and timely care and working priorities of the hospital.
- Lead contract and performance reviews to ensure contractors meet their day-to-day responsibilities and meet the need for effective strategic planning.
- Work with hospital operational teams and PFI service providers to identify operational improvements, optimisation of asset management and use, and efficiencies that represent value for money to the NHS.
- Implement processes and governance to deliver effective strategic plans and ensure the assets are in fit for purpose condition, perform as intended, and fully support delivery of safe, effective, and timely care and working priorities of the hospital.
- Construct, maintain, and manage a dedicated operational team and resilient expiry team with the technical capability, capacity, knowledge, and skillsets required to deliver the agreed day-to-day needs and transition programme.
- Significant years' experience of working in an estates and facilities management environment in an acute setting.
- Significant years' experience of managing PFI contract/PFI expiry in a complex public sector setting.
- Experience of contract management of contracts exceeding £5m.
- Proven experience in complex project and programme management in a complex public sector setting.
- Experience in an acute hospital setting with a demonstrable track record of working with clinicians in the delivery of NHS objectives.
- Significant number of years' experience in the implementation of national plans/policies and guidance relating to estates, facilities, and capital services.
- A sound understanding of governance, compliance, legal, and regulatory requirements in PFI expiry.
- In-depth knowledge of HBN's, Firecode, HGN's, and HTM's.
- Highly developed leadership, negotiation, and influencing skills with the ability to motivate, challenge, and engage senior leaders, individuals, and teams.
