Architectural Technician

Pettigrew Recruitment Group is seeking a skilled Architectural Technician to join their team in Livingston. As a key member of the department, you will play a crucial role in assisting with the growth and development of new projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure that project plans are aligned with statutory approvals, including Planning, Building Warrant, and RCC.
• Liaise with statutory approval authorities to produce necessary documentation.
• Respond to site queries and resolve technical and construction issues through the Technical Department.
• Ensure all raised matters are thoroughly closed off.
• Attend Pre-start Meetings and brief departments on engineering and working drawings.
• Contribute to monthly site Project Review meetings for residential and housing association projects.
• Coordinate consultants to deliver house type working drawings and liaise with suppliers for tender and construction purposes.
• Prepare drawings and details as required for Building Warrant or Construction stage.
• Manage and implement standard designs within the house type range.

Requirements:

• Relevant industry experience, ideally in housebuilding or private practice.
• Highly proficient in AutoCAD and good IT literacy with Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Scottish Building Regulations and NHBC regulations.
• Sound understanding of Construction detailing.
• Ability to work efficiently and accurately with minimum supervision.
