Job Description

TPF Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Private Client Tax Manager to join a prestigious Top 10 chartered accountancy practice based in the UK. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Manager looking to take on a hands-on position with a well-established and reputable practice.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team and overseeing the preparation of personal tax returns for a diverse range of clients, including OMB directors, international clients, HNWI's, and UHNWI's. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical knowledge of tax laws and regulations, including IHT, Trusts, Estates, Wills, CGT, EIS, SEIS, shares, and employment tax.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and prepare personal tax returns for a broad range of clients
  • Oversee a small team of tax professionals
  • Monitor tax return progress to ensure timely completion and submission to HMRC
  • Advise tax clients of tax liabilities due on a timely basis
  • Liaise directly with clients to ensure accurate and prompt completion of tax returns
  • Deal with technical queries and identify tax planning opportunities
  • Deal with routine HMRC enquiries

Requirements:

  • CTA / ACA / ACCA qualified
  • A minimum of 4 years' personal tax experience within a practice environment
  • A proactive attitude and ability to work in a team
  • The ability to work under pressure and prioritize where necessary
  • Good communication and organizational skills
  • Experience in dealing with non-doms and HNWIs
