Abbott Diabetes Care is a world leader in blood glucose monitoring, designing, developing, and manufacturing glucose monitoring systems for home and hospital use.
We have a Centre of Excellence in Witney for the manufacture of electrodes and biosensors used by patients and healthcare professionals for diabetes management. Our Operations group is the largest team in the facility, producing high volumes of test strips and biosensors each year to stringent quality standards.
Key Responsibilities- Support the machining of bespoke parts used in manufacturing and projects departments
- Develop and produce Jigs and fixtures, as well as general machining of parts for bespoke equipment
- Refurbish exchange units from production machines, identifying and machining or replacing worn or damaged parts
To be successful, you will be an Apprentice-trained Mechanical Engineer with a strong background in machining using manual and CNC machine tools. You will be a proactive individual who takes initiative and works well in a team or independently. Excellent communication and time management skills are essential.
You will be comfortable working in a fast-paced, changing environment and be excited about joining a team at the forefront of diabetes care innovation.
