Job Title: Band 7 Senior Biomedical Scientist

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced registered clinical scientist to join our team as a Medical Physics Expert in Radiotherapy Physics.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Radiation Dosimetry and Calibration: Perform and supervise radiation dosimetry work for external beam radiotherapy and brachytherapy, ensuring all external beam treatment units are kept in calibration, in accordance with national codes of practice and local protocols.
  2. Treatment Plan Implementation: Resolve problems with the checking and implementation of highly complex, patient-specific, radiotherapy treatment plans.
  3. Research and Development: Undertake design, research and development projects relevant to Radiotherapy Physics.
  4. Quality and Clinical Audits: Conduct quality and clinical audits to ensure the highest standards of care.
  5. Leadership and Service Development: Lead service development projects, line manage staff, and work with multidisciplinary teams to develop techniques and new ways of working to improve safety, quality and consistency of radiotherapy delivery.

About the Role: As a Senior Biomedical Scientist, you will play a key role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality radiotherapy services to patients. You will work closely with our team of experienced professionals to develop and implement new techniques and technologies to improve patient outcomes.
