About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Policy Advisor to join our dynamic Policy and Campaigns team at Scope. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in driving policy changes that empower disabled people to enter and thrive in the workforce.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support Scope's policy and influencing work, leveraging your expertise to inform and shape government policy and programs.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and address key areas of concern, such as improving government employment programs and advocating for disabled people in corporate reporting.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and influencers to advance Scope's policy agenda.
  • Contribute to the development of policy briefs, reports, and other materials to inform and engage stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in securing policy change, with a strong understanding of how Whitehall and Westminster work.
  • Excellent knowledge of government policy-making processes and the role of research in informing policy decisions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Passion for disability equality and a commitment to advancing the rights and interests of disabled people.
