Experienced EL/PL Solicitor – Fletchers Solicitors

About the Role:
Fletchers Solicitors is seeking an experienced Solicitor to join our growing EL/PL team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a caseload of Fast Track and Multi Track cases, ensuring timely and efficient progression of files in line with KPI targets.
Main Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of Fast Track and Multi Track cases, ensuring timely and efficient progression of files in line with KPI targets.
- Liaise with clients, experts, barristers, third-party solicitors, and insurers as necessary.
- Deal with all aspects of pre and post-issue procedures in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Pursue cases to conclusion, ensuring accurate time recording and maintenance of client files in good order in accordance with Lexcel and other quality assurance requirements.
- Supervise junior team members and provide guidance and support as needed.
Requirements:
- 5+ years PQE (or equivalent experience) in EL/PL litigation.
- Up-to-date knowledge of running a Fast Track caseload, with Multi Track experience preferred but not essential.
- Knowledge and understanding of the Pre-Action Protocol and Civil Procedure Rules.
- Knowledge and understanding of the MOJ Portal process, the 'six pack' Regulations, the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, the Occupiers' Liability Act 1957, and The Highways Act 1980.
- Litigation experience, including running cases to trial, taking the lead on cases, and preparing and commencing proceedings.
- Excellent court skills, including preparing and commencing proceedings, Pre-Action Disclosure Applications, Infant Settlement Hearings, attending CMCs, preparing directions, dealing with Cost Budgets where appropriate, liaising with Part 35 experts, lay witnesses, and ensuring continuity.
- Excellent people and client care skills, with the ability to work in a team and communicate effectively with colleagues and clients.
- Full driving license.
