Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer to join our team at CV Library. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for visiting customer sites to carry out maintenance, repairs, and services on our customers' machines to a high standard.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Machine Maintenance and Repair: Repair and maintain machines on customers' sites as required to ensure conformance with manufacturer's specification.
  2. Breakdown and Fault Finding: Attend breakdowns and fault find on machines to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
  3. Administrative Tasks: Accurately complete all relevant paperwork daily on a phone or tablet, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
  4. Team Collaboration: Work closely with the service supervisor to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
  5. Training and Development: Help train and mentor apprentice engineers to develop their skills and knowledge.
  6. Inspections and Repairs: Carry out inspections and repairs of machines at our depot as required, adhering to manufacturer's specifications and regulations.
  7. Equipment Safety: Ensure that there is no deficiency or defect likely to affect the safe working of a machine, and notify the appropriate manager of any defective or unsafe equipment.
Requirements
  1. Relevant Qualifications: Hold relevant qualifications, such as City and Guild, NVQ, or SVQ in Construction Plant, HGV, or Light Vehicle.
  2. Technical Experience: Possess experience in construction plant, diesel engines, electrics, hydraulics, transmissions, and fault finding using electronic diagnostic equipment.
  3. Customer Service Skills: Demonstrate great customer service skills and the ability to build rapport with our customers.
  4. Flexible and Positive Approach: Possess a flexible and positive outlook with an outgoing approach to work.
