About the Opportunity:


As a vital member of the corporate client team, you will be instrumental in managing compliance matters and providing tailored advice for a substantial portfolio of corporate clients. This role encompasses a variety of responsibilities, including personal tax considerations such as cash extraction and capital gains tax, and offers the flexibility to maintain a mixed role with personal tax responsibilities if desired.

You will collaborate closely with partners and existing tax teams, as well as the audit and accountancy teams, ensuring comprehensive support for our clients. Your portfolio will include a diverse array of companies and directors, for whom you will assist in meeting corporate tax compliance deadlines and delivering a wide range of tax advisory services.

Your role will involve extensive research on various corporate tax issues, primarily focusing on entrepreneurial owner-managed businesses (OMB). You will also liaise with the accounts team to provide guidance in preparing tax computations as part of the overall accounts preparation process.

In addition, you will conduct detailed reviews of corporate tax computations for larger and more complex clients, as well as facilitate claims for tax relief on intricate matters such as R&D and capital allowances.


About the Responsibilities:
As a Corporate Tax Manager, you will report directly to the Partners and be responsible for advising clients and reviewing work across a broad spectrum of services, including:

About the Applicant:
As the ideal candidate, you will:
  • Possess experience in practice with a comprehensive understanding of corporate tax issues
  • Be ACA/ACCA qualified or part qualified
  • Hold tax qualifications (CTA or ATT) as an advantage; study support may be available for the right candidate
  • Exhibit excellent client service standards and strong work management skills
  • Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication abilities
  • Have a solid working knowledge of Alphatax
  • Show strong team collaboration skills
  • Have experience working directly with clients
  • Be capable of explaining tax issues clearly and confidently in a non-technical manner
  • Possess good organizational skills
  • Experience in managing team members is beneficial
