Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Java professional to join our team at DiffBlue Ltd. as a Senior Java Developer. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and building core Java software in an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and build high-quality Java software in an Agile environment
  • Provide architectural guidance and review on Java development techniques, including the use of the Spring Framework, classloading, bytecode analysis and manipulation, smart mocking, isolation, and algorithmic development
  • Contribute to the team's objectives of delivering incremental value every sprint and partner with other team members to deliver those objectives
  • Interact with business stakeholders, customers, and management to understand and refine user stories and the product backlog
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Java technologies and best practices, and apply this knowledge to improve our software development processes
Requirements
  • Strong background in computer science and Java programming
  • Experience with the Spring Framework and core concepts of Spring testing
  • Proven track record of contributing to large private and/or open-source projects
  • Proficient knowledge of Git or other SCMs
  • Knowledge of test-driven development and a CI/CD setup
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Experience with one or more of Linux/Mac OS/Windows environments
  • Willingness to learn new skills and technologies and adapt to arising challenges
