Senior Legal Counsel - IT/IP

Consult Energy UK is seeking a highly skilled Senior Legal Counsel to promote good corporate governance across the organisation. The ideal candidate will have experience in IT, IP, and data protection law, with a proven track record of drafting and interpreting documentation in a commercial and pragmatic way.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide legal advice on IT and IP matters, including contract negotiation and drafting
  • Develop and implement data protection policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with the business to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in IT and IP law, and provide guidance to the business on implications
Requirements:
  • Experience as a Legal Counsel/Barrister/Solicitor working in Energy, Infrastructure, or Technology sectors
  • Proven expertise in IT and IP law, with knowledge of data protection and contract negotiation
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders
