Are you ready to elevate your career? We are seeking a dedicated individual to step into the role of Transport Administrator/ Planner.

This position involves overseeing the transport operations at our facility, focusing on both inbound and outbound logistics. You will be stationed at the gatehouse, where your responsibilities will include managing the scheduling of loads, welcoming visitors and contractors, and coordinating the shunting activities. You will also be tasked with maintaining the yard management system and ensuring its efficiency across various sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adapt swiftly to the dynamic needs of our customers in a fast-paced environment.
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication regarding planning adjustments and service delivery with both clients and supplier hauliers.
  • Oversee and manage yard management systems effectively.
  • Collaborate as a team player, demonstrating flexibility in working hours to meet the changing demands of the business.
  • Ensure optimal use of planning and yard management systems by adhering to best practices and maintaining high standards of housekeeping.
  • Recognize the strengths and weaknesses of team members, providing support to help achieve both business and personal objectives.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to enhance the services provided, offering constructive ideas and recommendations.
  • Proactively work to prevent accidents and minimize hazards by adhering to Company Policy and Health & Safety Standards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management as needed.

Qualifications for Success:

  • Proven experience with yard and planning management systems.
  • Familiarity with transport planning in a third-party logistics (3PL) environment is advantageous.
  • Proficient in using transport planning software.
  • Demonstrated success in communication and relationship-building with clients.

Compensation and Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary of up to £26,000 per annum, along with 20 days of holiday (plus bank holidays) and the option to purchase additional days. Employees will also enjoy access to various high street discounts, a cycle to work scheme, a workplace pension, and numerous other benefits.
