Project Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team at CV Library. As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for managing projects from start to finish, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Manage and coordinate with suppliers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project deliverables are met.
  • Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
  • Assist in the preparation of health and safety documentation, including risk assessments and method statements.
  • Ensure all project records are up to date and available within project files.
  • Develop a detailed working knowledge of all standard products and services.
  • Support the commercial manager with forecasting and contract administration.

Qualifications & Experience Required:

  • At least 2 years' experience in a mechanical engineering or workshop environment.
  • Ability to interpret fabrication drawings, site GA's, valve & instrument schedules, and standard specifications.
  • Strong negotiation skills and a strategic approach in managing local suppliers.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to work with team members, clients, and suppliers.

Decision Making Authority:

  • Manages own time to achieve objectives.
  • Purchasing within agreed limits as directed by Project Managers and the Senior Management Team.
  • Undertake any activities responsibly as instructed by or agreed by Directors.
