Caterpillar is seeking a highly skilled Material Planning Manager to lead our global supply chain efforts. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing inventory levels, building a high-performing team, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement inventory management strategies to optimize supply chain efficiency
- Lead a team of materials management professionals, providing guidance and development opportunities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal partners and external vendors
- Manage a global supply base, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of materials
- Perform data analysis to inform inventory management decisions
- Coordinate maintenance and support of inventory management software
Requirements:
- Higher education degree or equivalent experience in a related field
- Proven leadership skills and experience in inventory management or supply chain optimization
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to analyze data and make informed business decisions
- High adaptability and a solution-oriented approach
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the automotive or manufacturing industry
- SAP working knowledge
