Position Title: Senior Systems Engineer for Mission Planning

Compensation: £57,793 – £60,326

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate candidate requirements and create system specifications aligned with system capability route map objectives.
  • Engage proactively with subject matter experts and Aircrew operators to evaluate software specifications and design concepts.
  • Oversee product testing and devise resolution strategies for identified technical challenges.
  • Assist engineering efforts leading to the qualification and certification of mission planning capabilities.
  • Facilitate technical reviews with both internal and external suppliers, including Typhoon Flight Operations.
  • Conduct presentations and product demonstrations.
  • Direct the project Engineering Lifecycle Management design review process.
  • Mentor junior engineers to aid in their professional development.

Required Skills and Experience:

Essential:

  • Proven experience in translating design requirements into practical engineering solutions.
  • Experience collaborating with operators, subject matter experts, and engineers to address engineering challenges.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of Eurofighter Typhoon ground systems and associated mission data is highly advantageous.
