Electrical Project Supervisor

1st Step Solutions is collaborating with a prominent M&E Tier 1 Contractor seeking an Electrical Project Supervisor to enhance their team in Southwest London.


Role Overview:


This position is primarily site-based, with essential duties focused on overseeing the project's management and ensuring its success. This includes maintaining customer relationships, upholding health and safety standards, ensuring quality, managing environmental considerations, adhering to schedules, and controlling operational costs and values.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering strong leadership and motivation.
  • Guaranteeing that electrical operations adhere to a strict timeline.
  • Upholding rigorous quality assurance protocols.
  • Facilitating regular site meetings with all stakeholders.
  • Providing progress reports to the project manager.
  • Creating and managing a two-week look-ahead schedule.
  • Overseeing subcontractors to ensure adherence to project timelines.
  • Assisting with the commissioning and final handover processes.
  • Reviewing project scopes and generating RAMS documentation as necessary.
  • Submitting technical documentation for all equipment/packages under the project manager's guidance.
  • Maintaining all essential site documentation, permits, and plant registers.
  • Conducting routine safety inspections on-site.
  • Proactively identifying and resolving issues.
  • Evaluating working methods and alternative materials to enhance commercial viability.
  • Implementing and upholding the Company's Policies regarding Sustainability, Health and Safety, Quality, Environmental Standards, and Training and Development, while embodying the Company's culture and values.
  • Performing any additional duties pertinent to the role.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Relevant qualifications in the Electrical trade.
  • Possession of a current, valid CSCS skill card.
  • SMSTS/SSSTS certification.
  • Experience in a similar capacity within a Tier 1 M&E Contractor environment.
  • Exceptional leadership and management capabilities.
