Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Compliance Manager to join our Risk Function team at Tesco Bank. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our business operations are in line with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Close and Continuous Oversight
    • Provide expert advice to our lending and savings businesses on compliance with regulation, focusing on FCA conduct regulation.
    • Oversee the risk and control environment for conduct, regulatory, and product risks.
    • Support risk and control owners in addressing control weaknesses and suggesting remedial actions where events and breaches arise.
  • Thematic Oversight
    • Carry out thematic oversight reviews, testing, and quality assurance by following the compliance monitoring plan, primarily focused on FCA sourcebooks like CONC, BCOBS, and DISP.
    • Highlight shortcomings in compliance processes, systems, and procedures and suggest appropriate improvements.
    • Conduct research using primary data sources and select information needed for the analysis of key themes and trends.
  • Key Skills and Qualifications
    • Expert knowledge of data protection.
    • Qualifications in regulatory compliance.

Role Alignment

This role will support our banking business and will transfer to Barclays UK towards the end of 2024, subject to regulatory approval.
