We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at MorePeople. As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest quality standards are met in our fresh produce operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Quality Assessment: Collaborate with our quality control team to evaluate the quality of fresh produce upon arrival.
  • Stock Monitoring: Regularly assess the quality of our stock, advising on usage suitability.
  • Production Oversight: Monitor quality during production and check finished products.
  • Sample Management: Assist in preparing and sending samples for customer evaluation and laboratory testing.
  • Trial Assessment: Support in evaluating trial varieties and new postharvest technologies.
  • Database Maintenance: Update our Quality Tracker, Laboratory Samples Tracker, Rejections, Complaints, and Variety Trials Tracker.
  • Shelf-Life Assessment: Conduct assessments with our service providers and report findings.
  • Reporting: Help prepare quality updates and end-of-season reports.

Requirements:

  • Detail-Oriented: Methodical and precise approach to work.
  • Flexible & Proactive: Adaptable with a positive attitude.
  • Communication: Confidently liaise with internal teams, service providers, growers, and customers.
  • Autonomous: Ability to work independently and manage tasks under time constraints.

You will have excellent communication skills and be able to build good working relationships internal and externally within the business.
