Key Responsibilities:
- Production Management:
- Ensure that all production output meets the set specifications, standards, and quality expected.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of products, processes, and systems to ensure compliance with established quality standards.
- Develop, implement, and monitor quality control programs and procedures.
- Collaborate with senior management, production, and purchasing teams to ensure quality standards are met throughout the production process.
- Maintain and update quality documentation, including inspection reports, non-conformance reports, and corrective action plans.
- Participate in cross-functional teams to implement improvements.
- Deputise for the Factory Manager where necessary.
- Ensure the organisation complies with all relevant industry standards, regulations, and legal requirements.
- Conduct internal audits to assess compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies.
- Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies and procedures.
- Stay updated on changes in industry regulations and standards and communicate these changes to relevant departments.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on quality and compliance issues.
- Investigate and resolve compliance issues and report findings and results to senior management.
- Ensure all documentation is compliant with regulatory requirements and internal standards.
- Ensure all factory staff training records are up to date.
- Work with management team to promote good health and safety working practices throughout the organisation.
- Provide assistance alongside the Factory Manager to support the external health and safety compliance agent.
Qualifications and Competencies:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in quality control, production management, or a related role, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with quality control procedures, techniques, and documentation.
- Experience in maintaining quality management systems is a bonus.
- Understanding of health and safety practices and the ability to promote a safe working environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify defects or discrepancies accurately.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and prioritise tasks effectively.
- Strong report writing and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Capability to influence cross-functional teams.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
