We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the design and development of our next-generation air-breathing ion propulsion system. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to pioneering technology that will revolutionize the space industry.

About the Role

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing complex mechanical products from scratch. You will need to possess exceptional skills in CAD modeling, drawing preparation, and knowledge of manufacturing capabilities and materials. Experience in using FEM software for structural analysis is essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop complex mechanical products, including air-breathing ion propulsion systems
  • Lead a team of mechanical, test, and simulation engineers
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including CAD drawings and specifications
Requirements
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, materials, structures, loads, joints, and other mechanical components
  • Experience in high-tolerance design, selecting manufacturers, and conducting basic quality control
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
