We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Nurse Specialist to join our Intensive Support Team (IST) in Kirklees. The successful candidate will work closely with a small number of service users, providing intensive assessment, formulation, and intervention within a Positive Behavioral Support Model.
Key Responsibilities- Provide specialist assessment, support, and treatment for individuals receiving intensive support and care.
- Work closely with the IST multidisciplinary team to provide an intensive, wrap-around service to help improve outcomes for service users.
- Use nursing skills to support the assessment and delivery of high-quality therapeutic interventions to address the holistic needs of service users.
- Participate in staff training and supervision to maintain a positive behavioral approach.
- Substantial post-registration experience working in learning disabilities.
- Supervision of staff and students.
- Experience of a range of mental health/learning disabilities settings, including mental health positive behavior support and Autism.
- RNLD or BSc/BA, MA Occupational Therapy.
- Additional post-graduate qualification in positive behavior support at Diploma/Degree level.
- HCPC State Registration/NMC registration.
