About the Role:

Dornan is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Project Manager to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for managing and supervising on-site personnel on a busy construction site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Project Manager to manage and supervise on-site personnel, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Lead by example, setting and enforcing high standards of safety and quality of work.
  • Take responsibility for health and safety on site, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and company policies.
  • Ensure that employees have the necessary training and expertise to carry out their work safely and professionally.
  • Manage labor resources on site to optimize efficiency and productivity.
  • Maintain discipline on site, reporting any incidents and taking appropriate action.
  • Manage and train apprentices in accordance with relevant training programs.
  • Utilize the purchasing system to acquire materials in the most cost-effective manner.
  • Reduce costs wherever possible, while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Assist in ensuring that systems are handed over to the client in a satisfactory condition.

    Requirements:

    • Mechanical Trade qualification.
    • At least 2 years' experience in a similar role at management level.
    • Ability to manage subcontractors and work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
    • Technical understanding of mechanical systems.
    • Proactive approach to people management, EHS, Quality, Commercial, and Project Planning.
