Location: Basildon, Essex

Salary: £35,000

Working Hours: Monday - Friday 8am-4pm / 9am - 5pm

Are you a skilled Accounts Manager seeking a rewarding opportunity? Our client, a vibrant and established firm located in Basildon, is on the lookout for a proficient individual to enhance their team.

This role emphasizes the management and processing of invoices, alongside overseeing a variety of financial responsibilities, providing a platform to significantly contribute to a flourishing organization.


Key Responsibilities:


• Oversee the management and processing of sales and purchase invoices, ensuring precision and compliance with company approval protocols and payment structures.

• Act as the main payment processor for all supplier payment runs, expenses, and manual payments, guaranteeing timely and accurate transactions.

• Utilize SAGE 50, File Star, and Construction Manager applications for daily input and maintenance of financial data.

• Prepare monthly credit reconciliations, ensuring all third-party payments are executed promptly in accordance with established timelines.

• Collaborate closely with the company's accountants on month-end entries, reconciliations, and preparation for month-end and year-end closures.

• Reconcile bank accounts and oversee credit control activities to enhance financial processes.

• Apply your expertise in Payroll preparation and administration, including Auto-Enrolment.

• Manage VAT returns, cash flow, and year-end functionalities to ensure compliance and accurate financial oversight.

• Generate monthly management reports and provide relevant information to stakeholders as required.

• Process employee expense claims and assist with additional office functions as necessary.

• Undertake further tasks and projects within your expertise as agreed with your Line Manager.


Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an Accounts Manager, showcasing proficiency in invoice management and processing.

• Strong knowledge of Sage Accounts, Sage Payroll, and Construction Manager.

• Familiarity with the Construction Industry Scheme.

• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
