Job Title: Workshop Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Workshop Engineer to join our team at Questech Recruitment Ltd. As a Workshop Engineer, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of customer-owned and fleet trucks on site.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Undertake the repair and maintenance of customer-owned and fleet trucks on site.
  • Ensure all company-issued tools and safety/protective equipment are kept in a satisfactory condition and report any deficiencies immediately.
  • Maintain the quality of workmanship at the prescribed level.
Requirements:
  • A mechanical engineer or fitter with experience of repairing and maintaining vehicles, such as forklift trucks, plant vehicles, material handling vehicles, HGVs, coaches, buses, or similar vehicles.
  • Ideal candidates will have at least a relevant qualification or apprenticeship in vehicle repairs, such as forklifts, HGVs, MHE, PSV, or any automotive industry. Experienced plant technicians or engineers will also be considered.
What We Offer:
  • A competitive salary of £28,000 to £32,000 (dependent on experience/qualifications) + overtime + an attractive pension scheme.
  • Overtime is available depending on workload, paid at time and a half of the normal hourly rate. Saturday AM work is also available at time and a half (not compulsory).
  • An incentive to take half an hour lunch instead of a full hour, which counts as 30 minutes overtime at time and a half when done.
