We are looking for a dedicated Learning Support Mentor to enhance our pastoral team, focusing on children with intricate special needs and their families within our Alternative Provision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to assisting students with complex Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, particularly those who may exhibit challenging behaviors.
- Exhibit resilience, compassion, and respect towards both children and colleagues, while thriving in a physically and emotionally demanding environment.
- Possess exceptional organizational and communication skills, coupled with a proactive and approachable demeanor.
- Commit to continuous personal and professional growth, including relevant training such as Advanced Safeguarding, Unconditional Positive Regard, and Trauma-Informed practices.
- Embrace diversity, equity, and inclusion, maintaining high expectations for every child and family while providing essential pastoral support and collaborating closely with families and external agencies.
