Role Objective:
The main goal of this position is to provide assistance and support to the Design Manager in executing project objectives, particularly concentrating on infrastructure enhancements within a dry dock environment. Key responsibilities include:
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the technical elements of structural engineering work packages, from the initial identification of needs to final handover.
- Execute the technical delivery of one or more design packages as assigned by the Principal Civil & Structural Engineer.
- Ensure that design documentation aligns with the operational scope defined by the Project Manager and meets established standards, timelines, and budget constraints.
- Strategize for effective project execution.
- Facilitate documentation processes and maintain accurate records with applied quality controls.
- Assist staff and contractors in recognizing the hazards and risks associated with the work through effective risk assessment management and communication.
- This role is centered on collaboration within the team to deliver effective solutions.

Qualifications:
Experience:
- 2-4 years of relevant experience is preferred.
- Experience in producing specifications.
- Ability to create detailed design reports.
- Collaborative work with teams and outsourcing partners to provide solutions.
- Experience in defining pumping and pipework systems.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience in the Nuclear sector.
- Familiarity with Control Cabinets, Connection Boxes, and Cable Routing.
- Possession of an engineering degree.
- Knowledge of mechanical services, particularly in pumping and pipework.
- Proficiency in Autodesk Vault / Navisworks.
- Ideally, working towards Chartered Engineer status and membership in a relevant professional institute.
Additional Information:
This role primarily offers remote work with occasional site visits as necessary.
